Pastor Joe’s path to ministry took many years from a young boy who visited his parish priest after mass on Sunday before that priest was called into military service for WW II through his own 38 year military career from which he retired. He then attended Calvary Chapel Bible College and was ordained by Raul Ries of Calvary Chapel Golden Springs in Diamond Bar CA.
Along the way Pastor Joe was a devout Roman Catholic leading other young men back to church in the Army and Air Force, joining his dad in Knights of Columbus and even serving as an attorney for couples seeking annulment of marriages by the Catholic Church to permit remarriage. In 1975 at the age of 39 that all changed when he was “born again” acknowledging Christ as his Lord and Savior. While still practicing law he enrolled in Fuller Seminary. Seminary did not ignite the fire like the Holy Spirit did as he served on the Board of 2 churches and became deeply involved with Calvary Chapel.
The call to ministry came caused him to retire militarily and from the practice of law to devote his future to serving the Lord.
Pastor Joe brings to his teaching not only his broad experience during his military career but also counts serving as a social worker to families and a family law attorney and judge pro tem. Having processed over 4000 divorces ( or dissolutions of marriage as they are called in CA) he has served as a mediator and has 20 plus years of counseling experience.
In 1995 the Lord led Pastor Joe to NH where he planted a church and served as pastor until this June.
Pastor Joe has led marriage and pre-marriage seminars in the past and is available to assist other churches in addressing the causes of marital breakdown and the steps to healing and restoration.
